It is our great pleasure to present the "Capa & Capa" exhibition, co-organized by the Tokyo Museum and the International Center of Photograph (ICP) of New York.
The exhibition includes 110 outstanding photographs taken by Robert Capa, the word famous photojournalist who at his death in Indochina in 1954 left behind a large number of masterpieces ma pursuit of the reality of war and in lris hope for peace. The second half of the exhibition consist of 110 photographs by Cornell Capa, brother of Robert, who, during his long photojournalistic career focused primarily on peace. Cornell Capa is well known in the United States and Europe as a photojournalist and as the founder-director of ICP. This however, is his first retrospective exhibition anywhere in the world. The two halves of this exhibition add up to a powerful testimony of war and peace in the twentieth century. Altogether the exhibition will reveal the depth of the photographic art of the Capa brothers.
